300rum, Barnes TSX 200gr, H1000- Loads?

Hi, I'm new to reloading and figured as I was currently paying $80 a box for ammunition (bought 10 boxes!!) and getting bullets that basically disintegrate on impact with heavy bone, I might as well pony up the cash and get decent ammunition for the same $.
I've started with H1000, Barnes 200gr TSX's and am reusing my Rem brass and Federal 215 primers (shooting out of a Rem XCR- 26") .
I started at 83grs and have loaded in 0.5gr increments up to 88gr (3 per), so far using Barnes reloading guide as my reference and have seated to 3.6".
I'll be heading to the range maybe this weekend to see how it goes but was wondering if others were out there using this combo and what you have found regarding loads.
I will be sticking with Barnes bullets but the powder, primers and brass are interchangeable. Anybody have any input? It would be greatly appreciated.

I tried H100 in my 300RUM and was getting inconsistent pressures. I am using retumbo and 200 gr accubond and am very pleased with it. I've heard lots of good things about IMR7828sc but am satisfird with the retumbo.

The powder was chosen mainly due that being what Remington uses in their premium ammo I was previously purchasing. Not the best reason, I know.
The Barnes TSX was chosen as the overall best bullet (hunting) I could purchase from what I researched and had available (I know there will be those that will dispute this).

NeilM: How did u know u were getting inconsistent pressures with H1000? Just want to know so that I can recognize it. Tks.
 
I tried H1000, retumbo, 7828 and H4831 behind the 165, 180tsx and the 200 accubond. I got the best speeds and accuracy with retumbo. Retumbo seems to push almost every bullet I have tried, except the 130tx, well. I settled on the 200 accubond and 95gr retumbo with a cci mag primer as it shot the best in my rifle. The tsx works very well and is one of my fav choices as well. I would take a good look at retumbo, it seems to be mentioned on several forums as a powder that works well for the rum.
 
My own 300RUM rifles did very well with the 180gr TSX ahead of R-25. I wouldn't bother with a 200gr TSX, because it just isn't required, and the 200gr Ballistic Tip has a lower B.C. than the 180gr Ballistic Tip.
