I am looking to do a load using this combo and a 180 or 190 grain bullet. I am curious about loads that work well in your rifle using this combo and the charge weights. I tried H1000 and could not get groups better than 1.1".

I want to use the H4350 because i have quite a bit laying around from some other loads i worked up using it in my 7mm, and 270win.

Please post your load and experience with the powder and bullet selection.

Thank you

Ive found the 4350s to be a accurate, light recoiling load in the .300 Win that will give up 100-200 fps to H1000 and RL22. Try 68-70 on the high end. Don’t count on getting to 70 or much over 2950 fps.

Use the starting loads from IMR and work up. Bet you won't see much of a difference other than H4350 will be less temperature sensitive.

My bro in law has used the Nosler manual max load for 15 years, 70.0grs H4350 under a 180gr Accubond. Unknown speed, but it shoots well and kills every time.

Thanks. I’ll start around 69 and work my way up. See what I get to before the group tightens. I will post my results later today. Going to get some shooting in shortly.

You didn't mention your rifle you intend to shoot with so work your loads up from entry data to whatever is safe in your own rifle. With that mentioned here's my loading experience and what I find comfortable with my rifle, a pre-64 Winchester Model 70.

- WW Super-X brass - 180 gr. PSP - 250 magnum primer - 71.5 gr. IMR 4350

- WW Super-X brass - 180 gr. PSP - 250 magnum primer - 74.9 gr. H 4831

My rifle is a x-bolt hells canyon speed. I will be using new Hornady brass and CCI magnum primers.

What kind of groups and velocities are you getting Rod?

I haven't chrono'd these loads, the manual states 3000 fps for each. . Shooting from the bench, hand held, older Leupold scope, I'm not happy until I achieve 1" or less at 100 yds.

Didn’t notice any pressure signs. I’m not going to test the limits after those shots though.
Is anyone running 4350 in their 7mm Mag with 150s? If so what charge weight? I tested a couple and got my best results at 63.3gr. I didn’t have the chrono with me at the time to get the speed.

No sir, i cannot. Could be a bit before i can make my way out again. When I do, I will post velocities and which load worked best. I will also chrono the 7mm and show the grouping if anyone is interested as well.

Is that the 185 Classic Hunter? I’ve found that one to to be a spectacular killer of deer and bear sized game: in a probably doesn't exit but totally annihilates everything in the chest cavity sort of way.

Yes it’s the classic hunter. I’m hoping to use it on everything from mule deer to elk and moose. There is a lot of mixed reviews about it for large game. I’m thinking it will do just fine but have not tried it. Dogleg have you had experience with the 185 CH on moose or elk?
