300wm bullet size?

Real quick question. What size bullet goes into a 300wm case ? Is ot a .308? Im asking becauae my buddy bought a rifle in that caliber and i wanna throw my brake on it to compare it to his but dont want a bullet causing damage to it on its way out. Unfortunately i dont have a bullet of his to measure for comparison reasons. Thanks

any load that calls for 30 cal, or 308 ,means 308 cal bullets except, 303 .

And Russian .30 cal that want's .310 usually (though I suppose they don't really call it .30 cal either...)
