Just Started reloading for a 300 win mag, Noticed there isn't alot of Neck there to hold the Bullet, ie Less than .308" of neck. Anyone have any problems with Bullets in the mag Seating deaper into the case after a firing? Should i Crimp the Bullet even if the is no Cannalure? Or at all for that matter? It is for a Bolt action rifle. Any info would be Great Thanks.

As far as I know there's no need to crimp when loading for bolt actions. If rifles are anything like revolvers, the recoil would act like a bullet puller of sorts and extract the bullets from the cartridges remaining in the mag, not seat them deeper. But neck tension should prevent that from happening.

I have a bolt action in .338LM and I've never crimped...

I have not been crimping my 300WM loaded with Hornady Interbonds (a non cannalured bullet) and I'm getting great accuracy and no problems. I'm simply using the 2 dies from a Lee great value set.

I load lots of 300 WM for my 700 Remington SSDM and never crimp any of them. I have never had a bullet move from recoil in the magazine. For my friends Browning BAR in 300 WM we use a light Lee factory crimp in the bullet cannelure to ensure no movement.
