.300wm reloading advice.

There are lots of reloading books with lots of information so I won't get into that part of it. From personal experience One thing I have found when reloading .300 WM. is resize a bunch of cases and then try them in your rifle before actually reloading. I was making up loads for mine and my brothers rifles. what would actually chamber in my rifle were hard to chamber in his. This was fully resized brass. and the final thing was I was hunting with a friend and he downed a moose and to finish him off (he was still kicking) he found that he had left his extra shells in the truck a long way away. I gave him a couple of reloads From my rifle and they would not chamber at all in his I had to give him my rifle. After that I did a bunch of research on the subject and it appears this is not uncommon. any belted mag. can exhibit this. turns out that depending on the chamber not all rifles in the belted mags. don't actually seat on belt and have the base of the shell supported at the web . and they swell just after the belt and the die doesn't resize that area. If your rifle happens to be one it will take a special tool to resize that area. Hopefully yours is not one of them. I have no clue what brands are prone to this. the 3 I dealt with were two Browning's and a Ruger.

Read some reloading manuals. Your question shows you haven't even read the basic reloading tables and expected results. Suriputin probably had a ####ty day or something, but his frustration is legitimate because you seem to have done almost nothing on your own. Internet advice is not to be trusted completely without some of you own knowledge. Posters are talking about chamber throats while you don't seem to have any idea what powder to use.

Thanks for all the advice, I have read a Nosler manual but to be honest I don't remember much of it, I guess I'll have to read it again to satisfy the people who think it's unacceptable for me to be asking such questions on a forum created to share ideas and help out other gun owners. My bad. I asked about these powder and bullets because I bought them from a guy for cheap so I figured I should try and get what I can out of these first and move on from there. I've been on Hogdon and Noslers websites reading up all their load data and whatnot and I've read lots of articles from various gun digests and magazines and I even used google, it may surprise some to know that my google search turned up several links to this site. Go figure... Thank you Somerset Bar, I am going to try 66 grains of the H414 and see what I get. I'm thankful for everyone who offered tips and advice but I have to say, I'm a little surprised that I got scolded for not knowing everything there is to know before asking for advice on something I don't know much about. I'll have to think about that...

From the Sierra Infinity:

Hunting Load: IMR-4831/ 74.9grs. 3200fps/ 3752ft. lbs.

For the Hunting load another 2 grains of powder would give another 100 fps.

Since you did not include your firearms information what they used is included.
