300WSM and Suprformance

I tried a bunch of different Superformance loads with 150gr and 165gr bullets in my Browning Carbon Fiber X-bolt. The best group I could get was 1.5" at 100yds. I went back to a 180gr bullet and IMR 4350 and the gun shoots .5" groups with no problem.

Haven't tried it yet, looking forward to the results though. Right now I am on the Reloader kick. Got good results with R22, got some R19 to try next.

I'm not sure about this but I think the factory Superformance ammo is topped of with GMX bullets (I think) so if that's right I can offer this.

I use 165 gr Gmx bullet with Hogdon H4831 powder in my 300 Win Mag and I find them deadly accurate at the range and I took down a 400+ pound moose with one on Tuesday

Superformance is very temperature sensitive but gives really good loading density.
I've tried many "high performance" powders have a been disappointed.
Only Retumbo delivered high performance and accuracy but I'm totally feed up with the Battleship muzzle blast that it produces in a 24" barrel ;)

I have returned to tried and tru H4350 and H4831 which deliver extreme accuracy and good performance under all circunstances.
