300wsm recoil help?

Loading down can make it easy for you o build recoil tolerance, and if you ever feel like upping horsepower, you just need to ad more powder, instead of buying a new rifle.

Shoot a 300WSM Browning X-Bolt so also fairly light. Hold it tight to your shoulder, focus on your breathing, can also try a shotgun shoulder shooting pad. perhaps it's the X-Bolt stock design / recoil pad but 165 TSX over 65gr H4350 quite tolerable.

If you want to hunt moose think twice about moving to a 260 rem or 280... Before you give up on that rifle and that calibre I'd suggest you have a look at how you're shooting the rifle on the bench first.

Bench shooting can be difficult on you if you are not holding the rifle firmly enough or have it properly supported. Do some web research on how to shoot properly from the bench.

Second look at the ammo you're using. Are you shooting hard hitting 220gr bullets or 165 - 180's?

Remember, when you're hunting you're not shooting from a bench.

Just an idea.

Im looking for some opinions so hears my situation.
Last year I bought a sako A7 in 300wsm that I love other then the nasty recoil. I understand its a 30 cal rifle thats light weight and i expected it to kick quite a bit. I put a limbsaver on it rate away and it help significantly!!!!
Im trying to come up with a good load befor hunting season and become more comfortable shooting at farther distances, but still find myself fearing its kick. I see it affecting my shooting abilities after i fire a few round. I need a way to tone down the recoil without sacrificing anything? Is there something i can do to my loads to help or is my only option to get a brake or add weight to my rifle?

Im a thin built person so recoil is a problem for me.
should i look for something smaller like a .260 or .280?
