Good day All!

I have just acquired a Tikka T3 in 300WSM and would apreciate some load suggestions. I am thinking of setting it up for 150gr or 165gr for deer.

Thanks in advance.

Nice choice, x2 for shortmags.org, that sight got me going they have downloads from all the manufacturers, so data is easy to get.
4350, H or IMR, work great in my 300WSM, I'm also using 165gr. Interbond's.
Good luck.

Frank, I have a few Nosler 150gr BT's and 125gr BT's (which I was going to shoot out of my .308win) but might try a few at some 'higher' velocities.

Thanks for your help.

James

i use 180 grn for all my hunting. in my my tikka t3 i have been using 180 swift scirroco with 66.5 grn imr 4350 and fed 215 primer. capable of sub one inch groups.

I am glad you bought one first James i want to buy one real bad and am going to be looking for some 165gr loads, i do have a buddy that has one and he just developed a load that is very accurate, 66.5gr H4350 at 3100fps with a 165 partition. When you get a load you like let me in on it, i hope i have one in a Win featherwieght by summer. Take care and say hi to the family.

Regards John.

try some Accubonds over H4350 or H4831

other powders that will work well are RL19 & RL22, IMR 4831, and WXR

I load 168 gr TSX's in mine over 67 gr of H4350, I get just over 3100 fps and very accurate. Barnes bullets are sensitive to the distance form the lands, start at .050 and go from there. Awesome performance last year on several deer, a bear and a 4 inch spruce tree about 10 feet behind the buck I spined at 175 yards. These are very tough bullets, but the open fast too, most impressive.
