So yesterday we were at the range and 757Fixer called a shot, his first one, one a 4x6 inch aluminum plate at 300 yds, he aimed, fired, and about 1.5 seconds later we heard the hit, and watched the plate fall. We then walked out, looked and he hit it near the edge and the 230gr ball ammo still had enough energy to put a pretty deep dent in the plate. Very impressive, and of course no one else could do it either. Probably one of the best shots I've ever seen. I shoot clay pigeons at 100m with my 9mm all the time, but I have to walk the first few rounds in usually. This shot was his first attempt at 300 and he called it. Bastard!

Can you even see 6" at 300 yards?

The front post on most handguns will cover 6" at 100yards - It must have looked like he was starting a race to compensate for the drop.

he said he aimed about 8ft high, although really it was hard tell. The plate was not 4x6 sorry, more like 6x10, the 4x6 was a different one.

nice shot!! with a .45" yet, very impressive. With the weight of that round and the lower velocity, he must have had to aim real high. I used my G21 to shoot clay pidgeons out to 100m, but had to aim about 6-8" high and most often had to walk a few in first

That was the best shot I've ever made in my life! I'll probably never be able to repeat that. Looking at the plate, all I could see was a teeny little sparkle. I aimed at the sparkle then raised the sights at what I guessed to be 8 feet and fired. When I heard the impact I could'nt believe it! The best part was having 4 witnesses, calling the shot first, and hitting the plate with the first shot. Good times!!

yup the 4 of us were rather dumbfounded I'd say. Now we gotta come up with a new name for this bozo, I'd thought "Babe Ruth has nothing on me" for a custom user title, whatcha guys think?

hahahaha your mom is on CGN!!!!!!!! did you get a note from her to come out and play yesterday?

welcome Brigit, I've heard a lot about you. Yes it was a most impressive shot, you trained him well.

I got a name for him "pure #### luck"! enjoy this is your 15 minutes of fame. Well done!

Mine was shooting a 2 inch grouping with a smg at 100 meters!

I'll admit that luck played a big role in hitting that plate, 98% or so? Anyway it was a shot I'll remember for a long time. I was contemplating just using my G21 at next years sniper match but then my TRG would be kind of redundant and I might get some strange looks.

first shot though, that ain't all luck. He got the others all around it later on.
