Does anyone know if there is anything like this available commercially? I know the major ammo companies only make the 150 and 180's. Anything else available, or do I have to handload to get the heavy weights. The only thing these loads would be used for is to clean up nuisance bears at camp. I can't justify buying the dies to reload for a gun that only gets used once every couple years.

Firstly, 215 grain round nose, lead exposed, 303 ammunition used to be made under the Canadian, Dominion name. They were a good seller, popular for bush hunting.
However, why not just attend to the nuisance bears with your 303, using factory loaded 180 grain bullets?
Neither you, nor the bears, will know whether the projectile weighed 180, or 215 grains.

I don't know about commerically available 215gr loads but my Dad & I used to use the ones H4831 has made mention of for Moose hunting. There is or may be a solution if you reload. I recently acquired a Jungle Carbine and picked up some 215gr RN SN made by 'Woodleigh', an Australian Co. Like yourself, I wanted them for something a little different and 'nostalgic' reasons so I got four boxes of fifty. Not cheap, but , what the hell, I 'needed' them;).

Other than Woodleigh, nobody makes a 215 grain bullet any more. Nobody loads ammo with them either.
"...acquired a Jungle Carbine..." It didn't use 215 grain bullets. Mk VIII ammo with its 174 grain bullet only.

I never said it did, "but this one will". It also didn't use 188gr and 225gr cast bullets either, "but this one will". There are however, four boxes of Hornady 174gr on the way as well..
