here's what i found about the hollow point one:
...This Caused the British Government to adopt a 215 Gr cupro-nickel jacketed hollow pointed bullet in 1897. The "Cartridge S.A. Ball .303 inch Cordite Mark III". Similar jacketed hollow point bullets were used in the Mark IV and V rounds. These soft nosed and hollow pointed bullets were considered to be in contravention of the St. Petersburg Declaration and the Hague Convention, in 1903 they were withdrawn from active service to be used solely for target practice.
any thoughts?

The Mk.V could probably only be dated to the period when Mk.V ammunition was being made in Canada. It was the hollowpoint "Dum-Dum" round, like this one, that resulted in the Hague Convention.

OK, you had already found that out while I was typing.

yes indeed i would not shoot that stuff.the brass looks a little weak.
what would stuff like that be worth to a collector?
the reason i ask is i have a few of these various older rounds and want to trade them in to a collector.
thanks in advance.

Hard to say what it is worth, Mint a few dollars, the hollow point round appears to be a Dum Dum round MkV cordite the other is Cordite MkVI 1906.
the D arrow C falls inline with the Dominion Cartridge Company.

Look at this site for .303 headstamps. (Pictures do not correspond wit hte text)
