303 bore size

Hi Iv e inherited a 54 faz #4 mk2,I slugged the bore it was .312.my question is what diameter projectile should I use..311 or .312 probably a stupid question.

Not a stupid question at all. I assume you are referring to handloading? For factory ammo you just buy anything labelled 303 British.

Ideally, you would use Speer, Hornady or Sierra 311 or 312 bullets.

In today's market, bullets are hard to find, so you may need to use 310 bullets intended for the Russian guns, or even 308, if youc an't find anything else.

Lots of hornady and speer .312's at cabelas in saskatchewan at least.
I use the 312's in my 762x54 and my Eddystone 303.
Wss has them too, $33/100 count of 150 sp.

4064, 4895, 3031, are all good for 150 grain.

Jet hunter on the EE makes 303 cast projectiles that are A+ in my opinion.

Also had good rounds with win748 powder if you can't get imr.

I just got 200 .312 flat nose boolits from him.
They look fantastic
