.303 British Case Trim Length?

What is the case trim length for .303??? I've seen 2.222" and 2.212" . My Lee ZipTrim tool seems to be getting them closer to 2.222".

Any feedback on trimming .303 is appreciated

Go by the reloading manual you're loading from.

the lee tool can and will cut it to size and the same size every time ive never had to trim a .303 though sounds like your brass is streching in the web

2.222" is maximum case length, with 2.212" being typical for trim length.

trim length 2.212-2.222. max length 3.075.
in a little class we reloaded .303 using 4895 hogdon i think. one was set with a 85 gr hornady xtp hollow point with 35.2 gr powder. and cci lg rifle 200 primer.
also spitzer spear tip 150 gr with 38.5 gr powder.

You need to make sure the case length Gauge is threaded all the way in to the cutter with the Lee Trimmer. If it is not tight (you will need plyers or vice grips) it will not trim short enough. tjhaile had the max and trim lengths right.

2.212= TRIM LENGTH 2.222=MAX CASE LENGTH

3.075 is max OAL

It's 2.222 max and like 2.210 minimum.

Maximum OAL is .2 inches off the lands, usually around 3.1 inches
