Hello all,
I am looking for load data for the .311" Speer 200gr Grand Slam and the 303 British.
I acquired 74 of them. Want to load them up for elk and moose.
I will be shooting them out of my P14 303 British so its a strong action. 26" barrel.
Any data would be awesome thanks!

no relevancy here but for 215gr woodleighs i loaded 38gr Varget from memory-

some ADI data..... Varget anddd 4350?

215 GR. Remington Soft Point AR2208 .311" 3.069" 37.0 grain 2130 fps 39800 psi 39.5 grain 2265 fps 48900 psi
215 GR. Remington Soft Point AR2209 .311" 3.069" 42.0 grain 2045 fps 32650 psi 45.0 grain (C) 2185 fps 39550 psi

Awesome, thanks WhelanLad . its a starting point at least.
 
Didn't do an exhaustive check, but I note Lyman (44th) has 180gr jacketed and 215gr jacketed listed with 6 different powders (4 x IMR, RX-21, and H-380). Not sure if that helps.

Did you check Lee? I know they list many loads as their data is an agglomeration of others.
 
Just use 215gr data and increase a 1/2 gr at a time until you get pressure signs .
30-40 Krag data with the 200gr may be closer to reality?
 
Are you try to use .311" 200gr Speer grand slams for 7.7 Jap?
Only 200 gr bullet I can find.
Like others have said before, use 215gr data.
Only found data for 200 gr with 303 Savage.

Im taking my Ruger out on a back pack hunt within the next few weeks when lockdown is called off an forests open, we are just waiting..
im going to be using 150gr Sierras .311 , it works for my deer hunting.
i prevously usd the 215 woodleighs. stout an good for big game like a moose or elk in the shoulders. or rhino up the ass...

good mild recoil with mild loads!
