.303 British different bullets and loads

I saw SHTF .303 episode with Riflechair. He was shooting .32 S & M 100 grain bullets. Just wondering if anyone has loaded something similar or smaller and cheaper bullets than the big 150 or 180 grain bullets. A lower powder charge would make for a cheap reload to shoot at the range if you can find cheaper bullets. The game getter and .32 ACP adapter looks like more work almost and not that cheap. Let me know if anyone has loaded different loans and what bullets and grain powder they used. Doesn’t have to be that powerful.

I just got my 32acp adapter for my 303 and love it. I load up 32acp anyway for my pistols so l loaded up a bunch with max load and tried them at the range. at 50 yards it is not a problem to hit a 6 inch gong with my 1918 made 303. the only problem I had was that when I got the adapter in the mail it would not fit my gun so I had to sand down the metal to get it to fit, they are not made to spec.
 
There is tons of data out there for everything from round Ball to very heavy lead bullets. What are you leaning towards? SHTF loads doesn't mean the same thing to everyone.
 
I used Hornady 100 grain .312 pistol bullets and SR 4759 or Trail Boss for reduced loads and fire forming new cases. This load made the brass butt plate softer when firing 100 or more rounds. ;)

I used the rubber o-ring method to fire form the cases.

I think the target below was at 50 yards from my No.4 with the reduced loads. The rear sight had to be adjusted to approximatly 800 yards and after pulling the trigger you could hear the bullets hitting the target a second later.

NOTE, the #9 Speer manual dated 1974 had loads with their .308 100 grain plinker bullet for the .303 British. Speer also makes a 110 grain .308 30 Varminter HP with a 3/4 jacket that could also be used. When the .308 bullets are fired and kicked in the seat of the pants they should expand and fill the bore of the .303 British. I was in a sporting goods store and saw the Hornady 100 grain .312 bullets and remembered the Speer reduced loads. The light bulb came on and I said why not think big and use the larger diameter Hornady bullets.

I've used .312 100gr hornady xtp bullets and SR4759 for a soft shooting practice load. Can't remember the charge but 4759 is hard to find now discontinued I think. Also heard of people using pulled .310" bullets from 762x39, haven't tried that yet but it would be a cheap option for a light load.
 
I’ve tried using 7.62x39 pulled apart. Works great. Use all the powder from the cartridge and seat the bullet. If you want to get fancy, weigh ten charges, average it, and meter the average for consistency. Makes a great light load.

^^This. I've also pulled bullets from 7.62x54r, used the bullet and approx. 70-75% of the powder in .303 Br. I use a light charge of Unique or 700X and a cast bullet in the leftover 39 and 54r cases to plink with.
 
^^ done both the x39 and berrys x39, best recycling/accuracy ratio for me was pulling down 54r bulgarian and about the same settled on 80% powder reused for minute of pie plate accuracy with a very dirty barrel.

Really want to load some hornady 100gr .32's with a pistol powder, would be fun for the kids and lady at home.
 
I have used 32 acp bullets in 303 for a neat light load but cast bullets are cheaper and work well. With the variances in bore sizes in 303 there can be a big difference in performance.
