I used to have an image from an old eatons catalogue but I can’t find it. The big takeaway was that 32 rimfire ammo was about a 1/4 of the cost of centrefire ammo and a Stevens single shot was one of the cheapest guns. Bet a lot of game got taken with those in the lean years.
