I have a 303 British marked Us Property on the side of the action as well as 5 n04 MK1.
On the barrel is marked 303 2.222" as well as 10.5 tons per square" it also stamped made in England on the barrel.
It has a flip up peep sight with numbers up to 13 on it.
I do not know how to post a pictures but I do have some if needed. Condition is good.

The 5 is an S and indicated manufacture by Savage. The 2.222 and made in England are indicators that your rifle was on the civilian market after the war in the UK requiring formal proof firing. You do not say if your rifle has been sporterized and commercial proofs while a likely sign aren't always an indicator. You can post pictures directly in the forum with a paid membership or by using hosting services like imgur (it's not difficult). Value could be $50-$1200 and it's not possible to be more specific without good photos.

That is probably S No 4 Mk11 S for Savage

The rear sight is graduated in 100 yard increments up to 1300 yards. (Not that you should expect to hit anything in particular at that range but in battle they might want several riflemen to fire at the same area to harass an enemy and disrupt his activity.)

If your No.4 rifle is a Mk.1 there should be a small spring-loaded button behind the charger bridge, on the right side of the action (ahead of the rear sight) which you press down so the bolt head can be rotated up to the left so it will pass under the charger bridge. This is how you get the bolt out.

If it doesn't have that button, look harder at the stamp on the left side of the action, is it No4Mk1* ?

Might want to take another look at the magazine in those pictures? Ridges all the way down to bottom, I think? That is a No. 1 magazine, not a No. 4? Main difference on the rear face of the magazine.

Side view of a No. 4 magazine - note the ridges do not go all the way to the bottom:

Rear end view of a No. 4 magazine - note the shape of the latch - a No. 1 has more to it, lower down:

Nice sporter Savage made Lee Enfield. In my mind, not worth the hassle of restoration. The barrel has been cut back to remove the bayonet lugs. Assuming everything functions as it should? Hereabouts you're looking at $250-$300.
