was the only powder I could find that was listed in a dated manual supplied by the retailer who had IMR4320 in stock. I have reloaded for other calibres but this is my first workup for 303 British.

If anyone has a data chart for IMR4320 w/150gr SP & 174gr could you please share min/max etc?

I have researched Hodgdon site and they don't list IMR4320 loads for 303 British anymore. That being said I know that it's "an old favorite" of many that have reloaded this calibre.

From what I can find it seems that with the 150gr Hornady's the start load should be 42.0 gr IMR4320 and max 46.0gr.

If anyone has something updated please share as i'd like to put a few together this weekend.

thanks in advance.

Data from an old Speer #5 loading manual:

150 gr bullet - minimum load of 4320 is 42 grs for 2470 fps; max load is 46 grs 4320 for 2662 fps.

There is no data for a 174 gr bullet but for 180 gr: minimum load of 4320 = 39 grs for 2165 fps; max = 43 grs for 2408 fps.

That's what I'm using. 150gr soft point Hornady with IMR4320.
I won't say what load in using only because I'm not near my books right now and can't remember, BUT I know it's not at max charge.
With open sights and a bench rest I can group about 1.5" at 100yds.
It's a good combo for me.

If you find some Hornady in .312 or 303 British, grab them because they have suspended making them for a while because of backlog of other bullets in higher demand. It's posted on their website.
