303 British jungle

They do turn up but you have to know what you're looking for to get the real deal and not just a remanufactured converted MK 1 No 4. As with everything they are going up in price.

Bought 1 on GP last year , there was at least 5 others at that time. They were less expensive than a No4 , which surprised me. Overall i wished i bought a no4 instead , not that i dont like it but it really kicks and its loud. But for the fun factor , you cant be wrong

Was at the Fredericton gun show last weekend and scored one for $750.00 with sling and a repro bayo. Easy 8 out of 10. There were x3 of them there between $800.00 - $ 1200.00. All SKS were $ 600.00 plus. Most milsurps were valued high with no wiggle room but there were a few deals.

I purchased my first No5 back in 1990 at LGS in Courtney BC, paid $250. Which to me back then was a lot of money but was fully matching. I sold it regrettably but replaced it with a new one 3 yrs ago off here for $450. The “cone muzzle flash suppressor “ was cut off by previous owner. I replaced and fitted a new‘cast steel’ one from Numerich. These are handy carbines to have. 10 round mags and a fast Lee Enfield action has an advantage over the lever action 30-30 IMO.
Jungle Carbine owners/shooters are a group of their own and should be part of any 303 Brit shooters collection.

i purchased my #5 back in 1984 and i paid 130 $ for a mint condition gun i should have bought a bunch of them and sat on them for a while.

I sprayed lead all over the prairie landscape hunting deer with one of those when I was a kid. Looking back I’m pretty sure any deer us boys tagged were shot by dad lol.
I remember one instance where we caught a buck bird dogging way out in a field. Brother and I pile out and start spraying, me with the 10 shot clip and he with a 94 win full up of 30-30. In those days we needed full colors so we used dads old one piece coverallls, the crotch was at about our knees. My brother is only a year older than me so of course it was competition in all things, brass flying everywhere. We missed.
When I turned to go back to the truck for more shells there was another parked behind us with both doors open, 2 guys rolling in the snow laughing their asses off.

A typical type 2 (non-rfi) is a $500-700 bayonet, depending on maker and condition.

Generally yours will be more valuable than that.
