303 BRITISH RUGER#1's???

Has anyone contacted Remington about a 303 British run? They may be a little quicker to the plate then Ruger. The thoughts of a CDL or ADL 700 in 303 British get me a warm feeling!:D

But then it's not a Ruger. That kind of defeats the purpose in getting a Ruger No. 1 if it's made by Remington. :p

The biggest reason I want the Ruger, is because it's a falling block, secondly because it's a Ruger, and thirdly because it's not a Remington 700.

Everyone and their dog has a 700, but to each his own. The Remington is still a great gun.

It always takes awhile for Ruger or any manufacturer to run the numbers thru and get a slot in the production line.
When we first hit them up for the 9.3X74 and made a half day pitch to them, it took over 2 years.
When they came out with the .405 we explained to them that they now had the barrels but needed a reamer in 450/400 to satisfy another market. They didn't believe there was a market. I said I could sell 30 immediately and two others said about the same, ....got a promise to look into the feasibility, .........less than a year later they announced the 450/400!
I expect with Lipsey's push, this run of .303's could be announced maybe this summer. You have to understand that 250 guns is nothing stupendous to Ruger, just more market!! The guys stateside have been waiting for 2 years for another run of .250 Savages that was promised.
I've spoken for 6 of the .303's and in reality expect there'll be lots of orders drop out over the next year leaving maybe another six for myself, ......a better investment than the local bank or GM!!!
