Don't know if this the right forum but here goes. Where would a guy look for a new stock & fore arm set fo a #4 mark 1 Enfield, I am thinking of picking up one & rebuilding it to match a gun my Dad had :confused:

eBay, Advertise here in EE, gunshow. Are you looking for Parker Hale or any commerical stock. Be prepared to pay $150.00 to 250.00 for some thing decent.
 
Put an ad in the EE section of Parts and Bits as well as Military Surplus Rifles as well. Or go to the HACS gunshow this weekend in Burnaby this Sat and Sunday. That is the Historical Arms Collector Society. Just google HACS at 4333 Ledger Ave in Burnaby. Opens at 9:30am. Bet there are several there. Bring the rifle along.
 
Check Marstar. John got a shipment of Enfield stocks, I believe from Turkey. Search the Milsurp thread, and you'll find it.
That being said, I can't recall if they were No 4's.
 
You know, unless you really want to personally do the work as a project, it may save you a lot of frustration, and be no more expensive in the end, to just purchase a complete rifle and then sell the sportered one.

I am heading off to the HACS gunshow on Ledger in Burnaby in a few minutes for a looksee of my own. One never knows what wonders there are to be found especially at one of the few 2 day shows. Let you know if I see anything but there are always lots of stocks on the tables and about half of those are milsurp. Just google HACS if you need instructions. Amazes me how many GNners live in the area that dont know about this little gem.
