.303 go no go gages

There was a guy on here selling some not too long ago, he made them himself, they aren’t very hard to make. Being a rimmed cartridge you just need a piece of metal the right thickness with a slot cut for the extractor

Might want to do some reading - Britain, Canada, Australia, CIP and SAAMI do / did not agree all the time, in all eras, for what was the "correct" dimension for 303 British GO, NOGO or FIELD gauges. I think Canada and Australia "accidentally" agreed on .074" for FIELD gauge, which seems good enough for me...

Unlike "rimless bottleneck cases" the gauges for 303 British are only concerned with the space for the cartridge rim between the bolt face and the rim seat - the body of the cartridge or the body of the chamber and the distance to the shoulder location, is not part of a standard 303 British gauge. The cartridge needed to chamber, fire reliably, extracted and then was discarded.

He is most likely where I got mine too! I tried to find the message for whom I got mine from off here, but couldn’t track it down.

Bought mine from a member here. Machined very well and very precise
