Hi everyone - just a couple of questions.
Does anyone know where I can find a Mk I Charger for the Lee Enfield rifle for my collection, and what is the difference between the Mk IV and the Mk IV Modified chargers?
Thanks in advance for any help.
The Mk I charger has 4 oblong slots in the base without ridges. The sides have 1 oval and 2 long oval holes and there are 3 oval pips on the side. Most importantly the side end is not cut to form a spring but has a pip on the inside to retain the cartridges. In addition the other marks of chargers will have the mark numeral II, III, IV stamped into the side of it.
I've also answered my own question on the Mk IV chargers after reading through The Lee Enfield Rifle Association web site.
