Ive seen the Remington 180 gr. round nose cor lokt in action on a good sized black bear. very nice bullet performance, retained weight was 65% and expansion good. It'd be what Id use if I was forced to hunt with a 303

It's a 303 - you don't need a 'premium' bullet.

For deer we use 150 grain interlocks, never had a reason in the world to complain. Accurate in our gun, and hell on the animals.

The 174 might be adviseable if you're going after moose or the like.
