.303 reloading, need a quick answer *Results*

Without going to the cost of a press, scale etc you may want to invest in a set of Lee scoops. Often this allows one to try various loads. For example rather than one large scoops perhaps a combination of 2 smaller ones will give a couple grains more powder. When using 2 scoops be sure to follow a very strict routine so as to avoid either failing to add both scoops or perhaps using two of the larger instead of one of each .
The set of scoops comes with a handy data sheet which lists the grains for cubic centimeters . I used the scoops for years with .303 , 30-30 , 243 and 45-70.

My most accurate loads ever were in a 243 using the Lee Loader. Five shot group that was smaller than the nail on my little finger.

Wally: Congrats on your first loads!! My first reloads were with a Lee Loader about 38 years ago. I bought a used set in 30-30 from a friend. He gave me some good old IMR 3031 powder, primers, and a few bullets and I was off!! I loaded many 30-30 with that old set, and I still have it! Of course, I have bought a ton of other reloading stuff since, but have developed a soft spot for the Lee Loaders, and have started a collection. I sometimes find some good deals on used ones or new old stock at dealers or gunshows. If I had to get rid of all my other stuff, I would be content to load with the Lee Loader. These work great when you start with new ammo or brass, and use the brass in the same rifle. Have fun and enjoy your Lee Loader for many years!! :p:p
