.303 savage ammo

Anyone know of a place to get some .303 savage ammo, just picked up an model 1899 and would like to test it.

Expensive, but I believe that's typical given it's such an uncommon cartridge?

This caliber has been out of regular production for a number of years. We had hoped for a short term seasonal production a few years ago but that has not materialized. Some older new production still exists out there but is selling for more than most occasional shooters are interested in paying. Good luck you may find some. Several years ago I bought a case of this ammo but it was sold immediately to one customer who knew how hard it was to find. Phil.

What is a reasonable price for Winchester, white box .303 Savage ammunition in todays's market?

I paid $85.00 for a box a few years ago before Hornady started loading.
I bit pricey but at the time I could not find any anywhere else.

This stuff is pretty hard to find already rolled. Bought a bunch of Prvi brass a few years back as that's all I could find.

Beyond finding a box here and there the easiest and cheapest is to reload. The privi brass and lee dies will be easiest. If we could get to gun shows im sure there is quite a bit of it around yet.

I had 160 new brass and 29 rounds of factory .303 Savage at the Brooks show. One guy glanced at it.

It was not priced out of the world like some I've seen.
