.303 Savage brass ?

I did it after so I only had to take the minimal amount of material off. It would be alot easier to resize if you took it down before though. If you removed the brass for the first .250" in front of the rim you'd be good to go.
I used a .150" wide parting tool to do this, it leaves a very nice clean finish but be careful, it can create a large heat build up in a hurry too.

I used a piece of shaft in the chuck with a 25/64" hole drilled in it. After using a burr removing tool on the sharp edge of the hole, my cases had a beautiful slight resistant fit. I snugged them in with a live center in the primer pocket and viola, ready for action. Keep in mind, this is for my bastard 38-55 cases so the 303 savage will need a smaller hole of which I haven't tried to figure out yet.

To say I am a novice on the lathe is an extreme understatement but I am a perfectionist, it seemed to work very well. If anyone has a better metoed I am all ears. :D
