Can one use 30-30 Win 94 data for the same bullet weights in a 99 /.303 Savage? Normally this would be a no no in reloading but the CUP seems very close with like charges.Case capacity would also be a consideration. Is the 1899 as strong as the newer 99? Just curious as I may be helping out a fellow .Most data is with old antiquated powders and I have a load for win 748/170gr.Apparently the .303 Savage has a 1-10 twist as opposed to the 30-30 Win 94 1-12 likely to stabilize the factory 190gr bullet.Just curious? Harold

Why not use 303 Savage load data. Hodgdon reload data center lists it.

Hodgdon's load manual #26, their last, has 303 Savage load data. if you cannot locate I can relay the information to you. I would do that now but the manual is in my shop.

Harold, the latest Lee manual lists all reduced 3030 loads for the 303. That is unfair to the old rifle as it is really a stronger round. The Lymans 45th manual still had some real loads for the 303 Savage and I have used some them, mainly using 3031 as it is a favorite of mine. PM me if you would like some of those. Mostly for IMR powders.
