Because I've got inventory I would like to try W760 and 150 Hornady Interlocks for fire forming in my son's 303br. (also to see if magnum primers for ball powder make any beans of difference)

Looked up the Hodgdon Reloading Data Center for 150gr bullet and W760 isn't listed, and the Lee load data with the dies doesn't list a load for this combination.

Is it because this combination is not recommended or just not tested?

I'm looking at the powder burn chart in the Lee modern reloading and Win 760/H414 is above in the list over Accurate 4350 powder (in the load data with the die) and 2 spots below RAM Big Game (also in the load data with the die). Is W760 too slow?

To note, this is my 3rd year reloading with a press, always by the book for load development, first look/attempt at comprehending powder suitability/interpretation.

I have played a bit with W760 in the 303 British and the 303 Epps.
It is too slow for any bullet under 180 grains. You cannot put enough of it in the case
to get decent velocities. It's even a bit slow in the Epps [303 Improved] D.

Thanks all for the responses and confirming that W760 is not an ideal choice and likely too slow. Since we're not looking for accuracy or speed records it should be good enough to get the pill down the pipe.

Much appreciated Harold. This information indicates that this isn't something that hasn't been done. Noted on the mag primers. I want to compare primers and see if there's a difference.

Thanks for the timeliness of your responses.
