303's are ready...

I have zero components or dies. But I am in no great hurry to load for mine anyway.

I've got 2 single shot rifles now. Gonna have to go on a bear hunt with those some of these days.
I've got the .45-70 Remington Rolling Block for close in work and the .303Brit for 'long' range shooting. :)

I had a Pedersoli copy of the .45-70 Remington Rolling Block but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Presently in it's place I now have the unlimited time wise 'loan' of a Pedersoli Sharpes in .45-70 from a shooting buddy. Down the road I hope to purchase it from him.

Granted, the Lee Enfield action isn't the strongest and in some cases does have head space issues but with a little effort this can be eliminated or greatly reduced and become a non issue. Checking and determining head space and changing to an appropriate sized bolt head will help considerably as will only neck sizing the brass. Doing this, my 303Br. brass life in my Jungle Carbines may not be 'quite' as good but for the most part, compares with brass life in other calibres I have.

I guess if one wants the ultimate in accuracy in a rifle, it's almost impossible to beat what you can get from a 'quality' bolt action. My buddy that has 'lent' ;)me the Pedersoli Sharpes collects Ruger #1's. I've had four over the years and while they are a classy quality firearm, I've had to have some accuracy work done to three of the four to get the accuracy results I thought they should be capeable of delivering. Some of the 'suggestions' in an article on Shooting and Tuning the No. 1 that I have made a noticeable improvement.

One of my most accurate rifles ever was a Ruger #1-B that my grandfather had given me he had it rechambered from 338 Win mag -> 340 Weatherby before he gave it too me...

Still sold it because I never used it really didn't like anything about the rifle.

Congrads, talk to Clay yesterday & mine are on the way! Real nice looking piece of wood on that rifle. Will we get a range report today?
