just wondering if this can be done? i know i would have to have the dies machined a little to fit the rim of the 307

I use my RCBS dies in 308 and 358 to do 307 and 356 without any modes or problems, rim fits into the shell holder not the die

It should work fine without machining any off the resizing die to accommodate the rim, the lee loader only sizes the neck, and even if the rim of a 307 case prevents the case from going fully into the lee loader sizing die, more than enough of the neck of the case will be sized.
I'm not sure about if the priming cup thingy that you pound the case down over to seat the primer will fit the rim of 307 or if that would need to be hogged out a bit to fit the rim of a 307.

This is about correct - I started loading with the Lee Loader tool in 308 Win - probably did up hundreds of rounds with it before getting real dies and a press. Sooner or later you will likely need to bump back the shoulder and/or squish down the circumference of the case body - or perhaps not. But a Lee Loader tool will do neither for you.

The re-priming thing is spot on - is where I suspect you will need to get creative. If you own more than one - as posted - is possible that the priming base for a 30-30 would work with a 308 Win Lee Loader - I have never tried to do that.

I have no clue if the same powder chart or the same scoop is used or not - since is a different cartridge, Lee might have used / listed different stuff?? I never did that, and no longer have the Lee Manual to look that up.

I found both .307 Win and .308 Win listed in Speer #14 - but do not list same bullets used, past 110 grains. Even with the 30 HP #1835, is different Maximum loads listed.

It's been a while since I used lee loaders but after looking at one again it will likely still work for repriming, if there is any issue with priming with the case still in the sizing die the case could be removed and just manually lined up on the primer cup and tapped down with the rod.

You are likely very correct - the priming the case part was about first thing that I went away from the Lee Loading tool system - I primed the cases with a Lee hand priming tool, instead of in the Lee Loader. Then I got RCBS FL sizing die set and an RCBS press - I know that I re-primed on that press, often. Then a Uniflow measure and a Lyman beam scale. I do not think that I used the Lee Loader set after that (?) - since perhaps 1979 or so.

I've heard that lever actions generally require full length sizing? Something to do with weaker primary extraction compared to a bolt action I think it was? Anyone care to comment on this?

Full length resizing is to facilitate feeding/cycling & shoulder set back.

A lever action has 100% case extraction as does a pump or semi/full auto.
