The shape of the bullet dictates its trajectory, and its construction dictates its terminal performance on a given target. But its the bullet's weight that is the critical factor when selecting a powder and charge. Thus any 150 gr load data can be used with any 150 gr bullet, provided you start with the recommended minimum published load and work up the load carefully for use with a particular bullet in your particular rifle. The bullet’s seating depth, bearing surface, and the hardness of the bullet, all effect pressure, which is why, with an unknown bullet, it is prudent to start low and work up until pressure signs warn you to stop. Either of those powders should provide excellent performance with a 150 gr bullet in the .308.
