Good question good responses
Some really good advice here for you. I to am relatively new to reloading but I have used rifles as part of my job for nearly 30 years. I have developed a proper attitude for safety around them glad to see your willing to ask rather then go ahead and try it without thinking f he consequences. I have a 3006 axis that my prefered round is the 168 grain AMAX. i find it gives me good all around accuracy and knockdown power at the end of its flight. the 175 is right in there also. The issue that some ppl find is that "IT KICKS LIKE A MULE" well thats a matter of what you are trying to put downrange. for my friends and family i bring out to the range i also load a bunch of 110 grain rounds. I have found with the 168 grain amax with H4350 i prefer 57 grains of powder. I find it gives me no flash and burns clean. i have pushed it to 700m to knock steel targets. i cant say what the kinetic energy level is at that range so thats all I can say as to that. Me I did like you id rather ask a question then end up being known as 3 finger jim
