I thought about picking up the LMT during questars sale at 20% off was a great deal but again its front heavy and not something that would be easy to run as a carbine. Ideally I'd like the larue predatar in 308 but that's even harder to get than the kac.

I've run my 16" MWS in a few 3Gun events in the past and while it's certainly heavier than an AR, its still pretty manageable. If your a smaller person you might struggle with the added weight no doubt, but when you switch back to your AR, it will feel like a toy!
I don't regret the purchase of my MWS one bit. It's a very versatile gun, and the quality is supurb compared to a lot of other manufacture's .308 options.
