Don't think I can waite any longer for a FN SCAR-H so I'm looking at AR platforms in 7.62mm Nato. I have owned and do own AR's by Armalite, Bushmaster and Colt but have never had a DPMS. I have my eyes on a Panther LR-308 AP4 and just wondering if any of you have any experiance with this rifle and how would you rate it compared to the other makers. With your cash at stake what would you go for?

Can you elaborate Jamie, I have no experiance or knowledge of DPMS Rifles or parts. Should I be sticking with my tried and true Bushy? I saw the DPMS rifle and liked the layout so Im just tire kicking right now, but if I decide to take the leap I want to be well informed.

I looked before I leaped and went with the ArmaLite AR-10A4.
Their generation II mags are made by CMI and they are excellent.
I have no regrets going with ArmaLite.

I still want a SCAR-H though :D

DPMS with a little tweaking

Had DPMS 308 .Changed trigger out and JP braked it.Would double tap potatoes on a stick at 300.Shot consistent sub 1/2 moa with my hand loads.
Plastic mags a POS but new metal mags solve the issue.
Also take a look....they sell these in 243 and 260. If I were to do it again
the 260 with the heavy match would shoot circles around the 308.
Still count on a trigger job but a lot lesss $$$ out than an Arm10T.
All jmho

Thanks for the help guys. I will take a look at the .260 option.

I cant tell whether that means it is restricted or not? Since it is an AR wouldnt it be?
