Ok thanks for looking. I am looking for a supply of .308 lead balls, or a mould for making them. Would prefer premade but a mould will do too. Have just started this search. Thanks for any help offered.

#1 buck shot is 7.62mm or .30 caliber
If you don't need much it might be easiest to just take it from store bought shells.

Three pieces of #1 buck will fit inside the Speer shot capsules for the .38/357 and in a six shot revolver if you pull the trigger six times there will be eighteen holes in the target.
(good for close up head shots on zombies and worth for 90 points)

Thanks for the hints, got one of them adapter kits. It has what looks likr a .308 win catridge where you fit a .22 hilti blank and then push a lead ball in and the ones in the kit are definatly .308. out to 30 yards you can shoot into the same hole all day. On a moose or deer hunt chickens and rabbit all day, it is very quiet too. I will try some 0 buck and see if it will work.

I've had much more luck sizing down 00 buck to .311". You get a short shank to engage the rifling instead of a nearly-nothing ring around the ball. I use a Lee 00 buck mould and it drops balls .330" or so. I tumble lube them and size them down to .323" first in an 8mm push through sizer and then .311". It takes some force but it works. I'm using pure WW for lead as that's what I have.
