The SA bolts are the same size, but the bolt face is smaller.
LA is the same way. I have a 338 LM, .338 WM, 338-06, 30-06, 270 (all model 700s) and all the bolts fit in each other. Thay may not work as the bolt face may be different & head space may not be the same, but they all fit.
Remington builds them this way, they keep 2 different bolt bodies, long and short. Afterwards they are fitted to the rifle once the barrel is installed & they do the chamber.
As shooter pointed out....... This may have been a question more suitable in gunsmithing, but no harm no foul.
