308 bullet for Moose?

Have used Accubonds 180 gr and many others before. Worked fine.
Bought Norma Oryx 200 gr to try next year, speed is not a necessity, shot placement is.

168 gr ttsx. that's what I use, they work great.

I built a load with these for elk this year. Haven't seen Any elk but I've got a white tail doe and my mule buck in the freezer. Little on the over kill for deer this combo is IMO. Great big bloody holes through and through. 75yds on the doe and 150 on the buck. Should work good on elk if I can find one.

I personally like the Sierra Game King. It's a hard-hitter and deadly accurate out of my Ruger M77. I'd load up to 180 gr. for moose and/or bear, but that's just my opinion. I like the idea of the increased energy on target, but as always, bullet placement is everything.

I find they shoot well out of several rifles as well.

another vote for the Nosler Partition, it's an oldie but a goodie :) is available pretty much everywhere and it's been around for over 50yrs for good reason....it just plain works and works well.

if your rate of twist is a 1:10, my son got an elk at 400 yards with a 208 grain amax... Dropped on the spot, legs kicking right away and dead right quick.

The A-Max might do the job, but there is a legitimate reason the Hornady no longer recommends them for hunting, countless reports of failure and poor terminal performance in subsequent testing. IMO, best to stick with other options... A good bonded bullet of 150 - 180 grains.

First moose was with a .30-06 throwing 150gn Remington bulk SP. 260yds+/-. Boiler room, she went 100yds, kill shot from 50yds when she stood up but could not run.

Anyone ever try the heavier Partitions, like the 200gr spitzer or the nasty-but-nice looking 220gr RN? I've loaded both in .30-06 with good results on the range so far, and have been wondering about trying them in .308, but I've never put either in any moose yet.
Like folks have said before; any decent bullet placed correctly can do the job, and there are so many good options out there.
So many quality bullets, so few adult moose tags...here in ON at least...
