You know what....I think the Palma have a higher BC??? Someone had this on here a while back, but I can't remember the exact story. Someone please enlighten us again.

Up until a couple years ago the 155 HPBT (2155) was callled the Palma bullet. Sierra decided that the new 155 would be called Palma so they changed the number to 2156. The new Palma bullets have a higher BC. Either one will shoot fine out of your rifle and should work well out past 1000 yards.

The new ones are a little sleeker and have a higher BC. That part's good, but now I can't reach the lands any more and accuracy went to ####.There's enough freebore to make Weatherby blush. Luckily, they still make the old ones.
With a fresh barrel throated for the 2156s its probably a better match bullet. With a factory chambered barrel that would take a 180 grain roundnose, I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

Most TR shooters load somewhere between 46 and 47 grains of Varget with this bullet. Just work your way up and see what gives the best accuracy combined with consistent velocities.
