That was also my impression. And yes, when I developed a reduced load for my son, there was a lot of residue outside the neck. So I’m that case that would mean we can’t assume they are fully formed.
I did some additional testing today with my 300, using fired case, and working from there. I really can only back the shoulder 0,002...
In some cases, especially with nickel plated brass, I am not able to back them... at all...! Too much spring back.
