CZ makes a nice Mauser action 308 rifle. Mine is the Exclusive Ebony Edition which features a 23.6" 1:12" hammer forged barrel and ebony pistol grip cap and forend tip. The single set trigger is a great feature for accurate shooting.

Referencing the Woodleigh manual data using a near maximum charge of W748, muzzle speed is about 2620 fps (chronograph positioned 7.5m from the muzzle) with the Hornady 180gr RN. Results as shown. Might be worth trying different powders to get tighter groups than that. The 180gr SST bullet might be a good one to try.

Hornady 180gr RN & Re15

Using the Woodleigh manual as a reference, I tried a near maximum charge of Re15 (44.0 gr) with the 180gr RN. Needs a few fouling shots before groups tighten up, this rifle is particularly sensitive that way. For hunting I think heavier bullets are needed. Like the Woodleigh 220gr RN SN.

Nice looking rifle. Love Cz rifles myself and own quite a few of them currently and even more in the past. One things I question Cz and there thoughts on ROT.. to me .308 should be minimum 10. 12 works OK but how are you making out with heavier then 180? Are you not running into stability issues? Especially with the longer 180 pills?

Best regards
Josh
