Great pics! I'll use those in the 'name this rifle' game on another forum.

Incidentally, is all that stuff on the barrel really necessary? What is it, insulation?

P.S. is 7.5mm really .308, because the French measure between lands not bore?

?

Dunno about the market value, rarity may raise the price above the actual value of such of a system however.
I'll ask on Tir mailly.com, I had this idea for years to make myself a bubba version on this rifle on a MAS 36-51.
I handled one on a joint exercice with French guys with the APX scope and I loved it, the scope is pretty low powered by today standards.
Thanks for the pictures!

All that "insulation" on the barrel is actually there to protect the barrel when you drop it on the ground at the start of a conflict.

WOW! Thanks for your intelligent feedback..

I can give you plenty more feedback if you want...I had 2 uncles wounded and my father deafened in that war while those cheese-eaters sat back and waited to see who was winning so they could join 'em, you may not remember as you may not have been in Bag-dad yet.

Dude, this thread is about the FRF2 not France & Canada not supporting the war in Iraq. Irrelevant!
