Yup. Pretty decent groups for 50 yards, outstanding for 100. If you want to get anal you can measure 3 holes and average their width then measure outside to outside and subtract the average width of a hole.

I measure top to top, or bottom to bottom, if entire bullets holes are available ( I test at 300 or 500 yards, so 1 hole groups are not a problem. For your group i would measure top to bottom and subtract .308"

Edge to edge and subtracting actual hole measurement is correct. Bullet hole diameters often vary in different makes of target and seldom measure the same as bullet diameter.

group size

you have a digital calipre there. open it up to .308" and hit zero button. when you close the jaw it will read -.308. now when you measure your groups measure from the outside and you will read the actual group size. easy

It would be more accurate to measure the diameter on one hole on that target and then zero your caliper. Bullet holes vary in diameter on various targets and seldom cut the same size hole as the bullet diameter.

You can also use the free version of On Target, which allows you to record all your variables, dates, etc. It's available on the downloads page at ontargetshooting (dot) com.

Nice shooting by the way!
