308 - Kimber 84M LPT or Tikka Tactical?

I am looking for an up to 500 yard 308, and like what I see and feel on the Kimber 84M LPT and Tikka Tactical... any reason to go one way or the other?

What is the range limit for either of these?
 
I think for best bang for the buck would be Tikka T3 tac, or even the Tikka T3 Varmint.
Believe Kimber 84M LPT sold at a much higher price, and I agree that T3 Varmint or Tac need a better stock.
 
Spend just a little more on the Kimber Tactical - I have one and it is an excellent rifle. Though mine has been a bit of a safe queen since I got my TRG, I would take it over a Tic Tac and it is superior to an R5. Super smooth action, controlled round feed, A5 stock and a lot of custom features you would pay more for elsewhere. Best group with mine is 0.288 (5 shots) delivering 168 SMK over 41.5 N150
 
If Kimber tactical rifle come with a nice stock, it well worth the extra since the Tikka T3 stock are some what cheap.
 
I believe you are right - I bought the very last one Cabela's Canada had. In fact I ordered at work and later, when trying to show a colleague, it was off their website. I should sell it really as I favor the (much more pricey) TRG but everytime I think of doing so I recall that I may not be able to replace it.
