Rifle - Rem 700 5R Milspec 24" barrel
Brass - Lapua .308
Bullets - Lapua 167 gr Scenar / Sierra 155 gr HPBT Palma
Powder - Varget / RL10X / RL15 / RL22 / H380... etc (I'll buy what I don't already have)
Primers - Fed GM210M / CCI 200LR

Does anybody have any recipes using these components or something similar?

I'm looking for accuracy obviously, well as much as I can get out of a stock barrel.

I'll be using them for plinking between 750 and 800yds.

If I'm forgetting anything just let me know.

Thanks
Johnny

I have used a lot of palma 155s and a few of the Lapua bullets. Best results have been with the bullet at least 20 thou off the rifling. Start testing power charges with that jump. The Remington chamber throat is so deep the 155 probably won't even get close to the rifling.

best results have been with RL15 and varget, but varget seems to take more testing. I use the 210M, the BR2 and the Winchester stnd. Buy at least one case of one of them, so you have a constant. A case will last the life of the barrel.

With the 155, start at about 46 gr. with either powder.

Tried 165gr SPTZ BT with 42 42.5 43 43.5 gr of Varget in an R5.

The 43gr load worked best. Wont describe the group size, first want to be able to reproduce it, think luck was a large part of it. Will go back with 42.75, 43, 43.25, and 44, 44.5.

With the 11.25 barrel think most are leaning towards 175s +
