1.) 7.62 NATO rifles haven't been commonly used by NATO countries in quite a while and munition stocks are starting to dry up.
2.) Most NATO countries are run by liberal sissy bureaucrats now, who won't allow any existing stock of 7.62x51 to enter the civilian market. So, we're forced to rely on import from 2nd world countries like South Africa or Portugal, and shipments don't come often...
