.308 non-res black rifle

If your going to play with the xcr and m14 J think you really need to fundle the the rfb too befor you make a decision!!!;)

Swiss Arms SAPR is coming soon too.

Yes and it will only be about 5K. Or maybe we can get the FAMAE version that's coming out. Wouldn't expect that one to be less than around 4K though either.

Right now the two main contenders are the XCR-M and the RFB. I have the RFB. If the XCR-M shot like an AR10 (.5 moa) then I would get one of those as well. But right now accuracy between the two seems similar and the RFB is a heck of a lot more compact. .308 semi auto in a rifle the same length as a Tavor. :D

The ergonomics of the XCR-M are excellent and better than the RFB. But it's also a lot bigger of a rifle. The main thing with the RFB are the slightly awkward mag changes compared to the XCR-M or the very quick mag changes on the Tavor. It's not bad but it's not military rifle fast, the way the XCR-M is. However the size of the RFB makes it very nice and handy for shooting off hand or taking through the bushes.

FNAR's are guaranteed 1 moa with factor match ammo. there also $600 cheaper than a XCR-M, and $400 less than an rfb. In 400 rounds, I've had 1 failure to feed. I highly recommend one. These guns are sweet 308 semis but nobody gives them the time of day. I guess I'm the only one that actually likes the way they look.

Ummm, ya. No.

It's the missing link. From Bolt action to Semi auto!! Only it's about 50 years too late. Plus it's Fugly.

What a real modern semi auto looks like:

Nope, buddy of mine has one. 20" heavy barrel the gun shoots great, but no you won't look like a super tactical high speed low drag operator with it. If you want to look the part just ductape a laser designator onto it and giver a shot of spray paint. ;)

On the down side it's a pain to strip in order to get the bolt out.

:agree:

Yes the Swiss Arms SAPR will be spendy when it does hit the market and so will the SCAR, but when your actually considering a Desert Tactial SRS price is all relative.:D
