Okay, why is it easier from 338 brass? Isn't it just a run-through with the full-length resizing die just the same? I just started shootin 308 norma, had a couple hundred 7mag cases lying around, so am using those. All I do is run them through the resizing die, and they seem so work just fine. How would necking down be easier than necking up? I actually read that necking down things can be more dangerous because the neck will get thicker and that can present a pressure problem, whereas necking up will never present that problem. Please educate me [seriously].
