.308 Palma cases

I have to admit I'm fairly new to target shooting...I've read on 6mmBR web page about this case for .308 and I'm wondering if it can be shot from any .308 rifle or the chamber is different, they're saying using these Palma cases gives u more velocity and consistency...

Anybody could enlighten me on this please?

They have the same case capacity as Lapua .308 Win cases, but use a smaller primer and are dimensionally the same. They were developed at the request of the USA Palma Team 2011 in their quest for lower SD. We, Hirsch Precision inc., have not seen conclusive results, but some shooters claim smaller grouping and lower SD and also the capacity to withtsand higher pressure, but wouldn't rely on that for safety reasons.

Tried them, about 25-40fps slower with same load (depends on the powder you use)
SD was about the same
Did not see any difference in group size
Can get higher pressure without getting the primer pocket loose
 
hey man...I sent you an email for a quote on Lapua .308 Palma cases and bullets if you remember....please change the Palma cases with the regular ones.
