It was asked earlier, so thought we would provide at least one shooter's experience of comparing Lapua .308 Win brass to Palma:

Please pass this along to Peter, did some initial testing this stuff is outperforming the regular large rifle brass by over 50%. 300 yards .308 178 gr. Hornady BTHP. 2.5” group with RL 17 and regular brass, ¾”-1” group with Palma brass. Same load, rifle, time etc. 3 separate groups for confirmation….

Not all have received similar results, but there are also some great results being reported.

is the only difference with this brass being the small primer??

Yes, it was developed at the request of the USA Palma Team, as they claim lower SD. Reports indicate that this brass will withstand higher pressure, but we recommend not testing this particular claim.

Reminton made .308 cases with small rifle primer pocks many years ago for brenchrest shooters, good stuff. I would not use anything other than Lapua today and I would choose the Small Rifle Palma for .308 cuts down your verticale at longranges
